U.N. official touts benefits of global refugee compact for Lebanon

In December 2018, following two years of deliberations, the U.N. General Assembly adopted the Global Compact on Refugees, which aims to more evenly distribute responsibility for responding to refugee crises and ease the pressure on countries like Lebanon, which hosts the highest number of refugees per capita in the world.
