Pompeo scraps Berlin trip, visits Iraq as Iran set to drop nuke deal

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo landed in Baghdad late Tuesday on an unannounced visit amid escalating U.S.-Iran tensions, an Iraqi government source told AFP, after he canceled a trip to Germany, where he had been due to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.
