Opposition candidate confirmed for Istanbul

Turkish authorities Wednesday confirmed the opposition’s candidate, Ekrem Imamoglu, as the mayor of Istanbul, ending over two weeks of recounts of the March 31 vote demanded by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s ruling party.
